Day 16: Favorite Female Character
Again, I'm going to try to stick to female characters from the last year not in graphic novels. (Because my graphic novel choices would be ones like Carol Danvers, Batgirl, Batwoman, and several of the characters from Runaways.)
I am probably going with Jacqueline from Tammara Webber's "Easy". Jacqueline was such a relief as female protagonists go. She was smart, but relatable. She was friendly, but not fake. She had female friends she didn't feel the need to slut-shame every other word. (Yes, she and her friends do go about calling each other "b!tch" and "whore", but I felt it was not serious, just that joking some close friends have. Some may not feel the same way, but that was my interpretation.) She had a freakin' @$$ life beyond a boytoy. And that goes a LONG way to making a good character in my book!
