The Two Towers - J.R.R. Tolkien

Tolkien is back to doing what he likes best - having his characters talk about stories other than the one they are in! Faramir, Sam, and Frodo have finished dinner, and OF COURSE, they can't go to bed, so time to yammer on about things that may or may not be relevant to the plot!

In other news - this section actually is more enjoyable than most of Tolkien's interludes. Some of the stories Faramir tells are interesting, probably because I prefer the older histories of Middle Earth.

But fair warning: we also talk a lot about "rightful rulers" and such, which feels a little bit...what is the word? Not racist, but exclusivist? Not sure here.
